Continue readingTo further support digital working, the Court of Protection has now introduced the use of electronic filing of documents. This procedure is known as e-filing. This relates to all Deprivation of Liberty cases. This involves the introduction of an automated system whereby lawyers and other interested parties can file correspondence and attachments by email and they will be placed directly onto the Court’s digital files (e-files). This means that the use of the e-filing system will enable faster allocation of information to court files to ensure that the judiciary and court administrators have immediate access within minutes of it being received by file.
