• Hubbard Pegman & Whitney LLP know too well the dangers presented to the residents of London who cycle in and around the Capital each day. More people are cycling to and from work now than ever before in an effort to escape the delays, congestion and general unpleasantness of Public Transport in the Capital. Cycling is at its peak during the spring and summer months.
  • Managing Partner, Charlotte Pegman, and Partner Philip Cunningham, of Hubbard Pegman & Whitney often face the misfortune of careless, reckless and inconsiderate drivers on their morning commute who have no regard for the Highway Code and are putting the well being of the cyclist’s in danger. They also appreciate the importance of wearing appropriate safety gear before venturing out at the crack of dawn.
  • The number of people killed on Britain’s roads is at an all time high. In 2012, it was reported that there were 122 fatalities in the UK, at least 14 of those were in the Capital. The majority occurred during the rush hour commute but others were at any time of the day. The number of people ‘injured’ or ‘seriously injured’ each year is significantly greater.
  • If you plan to cycle at any time in the Capital, please ensure that you wear appropriate safety gear including, but not limited to, a safety helmet, high visibility clothing and ensure that any loose clothing is suitably restrained. Please be vigilant at all times when cycling on the road.
