An anonymous user responded to her post, claiming to be the cat’s owner and accusing her of stealing and falsely microchipping his pet.
She sought legal advice and supplied evidence including screenshots and conversations. Fortunately, it was possible to identify the Facebook user who had made the anonymous posts.
After a cease and desist letter was sent, demanding that he retract the allegations and cease and desist any further defamatory activities against her, the posts were removed.
