At Hubbard, Pegman and Whitney LLP we understand that buying or selling a property is possibly one of the biggest financial transactions in a person’s life. It is a very personal yet important stage of our clients’ lives.

We strive to make sure our clients’ transactions are conducted with the utmost importance. This effort is acknowledged in our recent reaccreditation to The Conveyancing Quality Scheme (CQS).

What is the CQS?

CQS is an accreditation process followed by the Law Society to ensure Conveyancing Practitioners understand and act with similar ethos.  The CQS is designed for practices that:

–              Offer residential conveyancing

–              Are authorised and regulated by the Solicitors Regulation Authority (SRA)

–              The practice must be able to demonstrate compliance with the Conveyancing Protocol.

The accreditation gives home buyers and sellers, the comfort that the conveyancers acting for them follow the practices and procedures to protect the best interest of the client.

What does the Accreditation mean?

Accreditation indicates that a firm conforms to the requirements prescribed by the Law Society for residential conveyancing and follow the Conveyancing Protocol as an assurance of quality of service in conveyancing. CQS Accreditation is now a must to be on most lender panels and to be able to act for them as well in a conveyancing transaction.

Is training required for re-accreditation?

All relevant persons must complete mandatory training within six months from the date that your practice receives confirmation of accreditation.

At Hubbard, Pegman and Whitney we have always gone beyond the required to ensure we do the best possible to achieve the right outcome for our client. We are on most lender  panels ensuring that clients do not need to spend additional money on  separate legal representation for lenders.
